We do not ask for explicit identifying information (like your name or email) in the survey, but to ensure that your responses remain anonymous, please avoid providing any personally identifying information in your text-based responses. You may skip any questions you do not wish to answer. If you want to withdraw from the survey, just close the survey window – your responses will not be saved, stored, or used.
Upon completing the survey and pressing submit, you are consenting to have your responses made available to the Burnaby Festival of Learning.
This sweepstakes is open to all legal residents of Canada who are the age of majority in their Province on the date of entry, with the exception of employees of Simon Fraser University and the City of Burnaby and their respective agencies, its subsidiaries or affiliates, and members of their respective immediate families or any person with whom such employee, agent, subsidiary or affiliate is domiciled.
There is a total of one (1) prize available to be won during the sweepstakes period, consisting of the following: one (1) $50 VISA gift card. The total value of prizes awarded for this contest is $50. Prize will be awarded to the winner in the form of a gift card with value in Canadian dollars. The odds of winning are dependent upon the number of eligible entries.
Prize winners will be drawn within fourteen (14) days from the end of the sweepstakes period. One (1) entry will be selected in a random draw from among all eligible entries received. An eligible entry entails the survey participant emailing firstname.lastname@example.org to be entered.The Burnaby Festival of Learning reserves the right to require proof of age and jurisdiction of residence prior to awarding any prize.
If a minor is selected, the parent or legal guardian of the selected entrant must sign an affidavit, in order for their child to be declared the winner. The prize will be issued in the parent or legal guardian’s name. Selected entrants will be notified via email within 48 hours of the relevant draw. Selected entrants will be required to acknowledge by email, receipt of notification of eligibility for a prize. If no response is obtained within 7 days of notification of the relevant draw, the prize(s) will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner(s) in a random draw selected by computer from the remaining eligible entries. Prize(s) will be delivered within 60 days of contact.

The Burnaby Festival of Learning is not responsible for technical or computer errors, or for late, lost, illegible, damaged, postage due, misdirected, misidentified or incomplete survey. Surveys in any way tampered with, forged, mutilated, incomplete, illegible, photocopied or mechanically reproduced, or submitted by or through fraudulent means, may be disqualified, in the sole discretion of The Burnaby Festival of Learning . This includes any survey that does not comply with these contest rules in any respect.
In the event any portion of this sweepstakes being compromised by virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes beyond the control of The Burnaby Festival of Learning, which in the sole opinion of The Burnaby Festival of Learning, corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper entry into the contest, The Burnaby Festival of Learning reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or terminate the sweepstakes and to award the prize to an individual selected at random from the pool of entrants received up to the point of termination. Decisions of The Burnaby Festival of Learning are final on all matters of fact, interpretation, eligibility, procedure and fulfillment in respect to this contest. The Burnaby Festival of Learning reserves the right at any time to withdraw this contest or to modify, amend, or supplement these rules, in its sole discretion.
This sweepstakes is subject to all Federal, Provincial and local laws. If within the province of Quebec, any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the board only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
