Minimize Your Risks, Maximize Your Profits: Tips and Tricks to Success

May 7, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
The Burnaby Festival of Learning is proud to present Minimize Your Risks, Maximize Your Profits: Tips & Tricks to Success!

Making HER Future! is back at BFOL, this time in collaboration with Seedling Art and Co. Together we will present a 2-hour remote workshop designed for women entrepreneurs.

When starting a business, the biggest misconception is: “all you need is an awesome idea”. In this workshop, participants will learn how to turn a simple idea into a successful business. Learning how to strategize by using research and a user-centered design approach, participants will gain practical skills, like how to list and validate assumptions, product design iteration, and digital marketing strategies. Come away with the knowledge to set up an e-commerce store of your own by using existing online platforms, and learn effective ways to reach potential customers using social media.
